♥♥ SHEILA PICTURED WITH HER GREAT NIECE AMY-LOUISE ♥♥

Sheila Phillipson was born 26th January 1948 in Watford. She has an elder sister Joyce and had a
brother Norman who died in his 20s and also had a sister Dorothy (Deceased).Sheila never married or
had children but she was very close to Joyces daughter Brenda( my cousin) and sheila was delighted
when Brenda had a lovely daughter Amy -Louise.
Sheilas family moved from Watford to Newcastle in the 1950s and lived opposite my Mam Isobels
family.
Sheilas Mam died when she was 11 and her Dad moved back to Watford taking Sheila with him. Sheila
missed her sister Joyce and so decided to hitch hike from Watford to Newcastle to her sister Joyces
where she stayed. (Sheila showed a feisty streak even at age 11 !)

Sheila became part of our family when her sister Joyce married my Mams brother Ken. Her brother
Norman became engaged to my Mams sister Linda but sadly he died in his 20s.
Sheila was a nurse and a nun in her younger days and was a bubbly and feisty person. She was a
deeply religious person and loved visiting cathedrals and churches. She loved socialising and dancing
and sadly she lost both legs 10 years ago due to diabetes and circulation problems. Sheila spent the
last 10 years in a wheelchair and lived in a specially adapted bungalow. She was very houseproud and
her place was immaculate. She did all her own housework, she was fiercely independant and declined
any help from carers or home helps. Sheila was an inspiration to all disabled people.
Sheila had a great love for animals especially dogs, she would take in dogs who had been ill-treated
and lavish them with love and kindness.
She leaves behind her beloved dog Lucy who is being cared for by her sister Joyce.
Sheila did not have good health in her lifetime and suffered from diabetes and circulatory problems,
she had a major operation on her aorta and almost died. Sheila was admitted to hospital just before
Christmas with numerous health problems and sadly died on Sunday 6th January 2008, aged 59. Sheila
would have been 60 on 26th January.
Her sister Joyce and niece Brenda have been left devastated.
Dearest sheila you are free from pain now, may you rest in peace love from your loving family.
xxxxxxxxxx

Dear Mr Hallmark

I am writing to you from Heaven, and though it must appear
A rather strange idea, I see everything from here.
I just popped in to visit, your stores to find a card
A card of love for my loved ones, as there finding it very hard.

There must be some mistake I thought, I saw every card you could imagine
Except I could not find a card, from a person who lives in heaven.
They are still my loved ones too, no matter where I reside
I had to leave, they understand, but oh the tears they cried.

I thought that if I wrote you, that you would come to know
That though I live in heaven now, I still love my family so.
They talk with me, and dream with me; we still share laughter too,
Memories are our way of speaking now, would you see what you could do?

My loved ones carries me in there heart, there tears they hide from sight.
They write poems to honor me, sometimes long into the night
They plants flowers in my garden, there my living memory dwells
They write to other grieving familys, trying to ease their pain as well.

So you see Mr.Hallmark, though I no longer live on earth
I must find a way to remind my family of there wondrous worth.
They need to be honored, and remembered too
Just as the people of earth will do.

Thank you Mr.Hallmark, I know you'll do your best
I have done all I can do; to you I'll leave the rest.
Find a way to tell them, how much they mean to me
Until I can do it for myself, when they join me in eternity

Thinking of you Sheila xxxxx

Dearest Sheila a week today you were laid to rest. You are free from pain and suffering now. You had a lovely send off and your flowers were beautiful, lots of lemon ones, your favorite colour.
Your last weeks with us were painful and distressing. Auntie Joyce has taken your death very badly, we are worried about her. Please give her the strength to cope with the days ahead. Mam has been staying with her for the past 2 weeks and Brenda has also been at her side but Brenda needs to rest as the new baby is due in April. They found the box of baby things you had collected for the new baby, it brought tears to everyones eyes. You were so kind and thoughtful.
I know that you will be with Brenda when she has the baby. Amy- Louise keeps asking for you as she doesn't understand you have gone. We will keep your memory alive and Amy will not be allowed to forget you. Lucy your dog is fretting too but she is being well cared for.
Have a restful day in heaven, you are very sadly missed by all the family xxxxxxxxxx

I picture you walking up the path
and walking through the door
I listen out for your gentle laugh
but i cant hear it anymore

I hold my hands out everyday
Hoping for your gentle touch
But i dont feel your warm hands touch me
Its a feeling i miss so much

I wait for you to wipe my tears
But you want yours wiping too
And everyday still hurts so much
Because my life is missing you

I keep your memory in my soul
It burns so bright each day
And all the things i have in my mind
Theres three words i want to say

I Miss You
